Q. Are your whakakai safe for sensitive taringa?

We use Stainless Steel earring findings (hooks and studs) which are unlikely to cause a reaction for most people and are used for some forms of hypoallergenic jewellery. There is still a very small chance that Stainless Steel may react forĀ some people as it may contain a very small amount of nickel.

Q. What does Hypoallergenic mean?

To our whakaaro it means 'relatively unlikely to cause an allergic reaction'.

Q. Kia ora, do you perform karakia before harvesting flax?

Kia ora,Ā Äe! It is tikanga to karakia before harvesting and processing flax. We are very grateful to be able to work with flax as our core natural material. We treat the whole process as a special occasion, reconnecting withĀ Papatūānuku each time with a thankful ngākau to be able to do so through out the process of creating.

Q. I'm tracking my order online but it's passed the 3 business day NZ estimate. What do I do?

Kia ora, NZ Post may be experiencing delivery delays due to eg. weather, illnesses, COVID-19, staff shortages, or public holidays etc. You can contact us on info@kihitoi.com for an update on their delivery delays, or check their website: a quick way to access the page is to searchĀ :Ā NZ Post delivery delaysĀ inĀ google/bing/whichever browser you use and the page you need should pop up near the top. NZ Post recommends to contact them once your delivery delay has surpassed their delivery estimate by a further 7 businessĀ days.

Q. My parcel has arrived damaged from delivery. Help!?

Kia ora, take a photo of your damaged parcel asap! First point of call is to contact NZ Post and tell them what has happened. You can also email us: info@kihitoi.com and we can try help remedy this for you fromĀ our end.

Q. Hi, I've received my items, but something isn't right with my order (damaged, missing, wrong item)..Can you fix this?
